Clarity Through Simplicity,
Focus & Curiosity.
Introduction
Timothy Maurer is an award-winning UX/UI designer & low-code developer, busy developing complex Mendix applications and solutions at Aiden.
Over the years, he has helped design and build hundreds of websites, e-commerce shops and (web)apps for some of the best brands in the world.
Previously, he co-founded and co-led Naam Agency from 2010 to 2022, where he, as Digital Creative Director, helped Naam grow to become a successful, user-focused digital agency.
His work is known to be timeless, refined, ordered, and user-focused. In every project, he aspires to devise ideas and solutions that originate from a project's reason to exist/essence. This essence will, in turn, direct the process and output of a project.

Process
From 2010 to 2022, Tim was a Co-Founder and Digital Creative Director at Naam Agency. During this time he helped them become an internationally renowned, award-winning agency while working with amazing clients such as ING Bank, Nationale Nederlanden, NTR, SAAB, Westeria, and many more.
He is currently building low-code (web)apps and websites for large organizations, agencies, (info) architects, innovators, and startups worldwide. During a project, his extensive UX design background helps with quick decision-making and a better user-focused product.

Having worked in both design and development, Tim is fascinated by improving and streamlining communications between these two departments by navigating and understanding their possibilities and constraints.
His passion for finding technically refined, user-focused solutions steered him toward the world of low-code applications, where form/function meets business requirements and time limitations. Low-code applications, such as Webflow, Bubble, and Mendix, opened a world of opportunities that allowed him to quickly confirm or deny hypotheses, improve client and team communication, test creative ideas, and speed up processes.
Tim is continuously looking to try new solutions, methodologies, and applications to discover if they may improve his or his team's workflow.
As an avid prototyper, Tim gets excited by creating testable designs at low or high fidelity to help validate or refute a project's hypothesis. In addition, he's got a special place in his heart for edge cases that require unique solutions. Lastly, his background in low-code and UX design assures he feels right at home within any Agile or DevOps workflow.
He currently lives in the Netherlands with his dog Max and partner Lieke. When possible, he goes back to his favourite place in the world: Toronto, to enjoy its unique food scene and nightly strawls throughout the city. In his spare time, you may find Tim in his workshop playing with noisy woodworking tools while listening to even louder music.
